The Institute for Biological Research ("Siniša Stanković") is the Serbian body working most closely with us on JDS4 as a part of our international team, and they've already begun the process of taking field samples from the Danube in Summer 2019.

This international expedition is the fourth complex scientific survey organised every six years since 2001 with the ICPDR (with support of the European Commission and “Danubian” countries), and the IBISS has participated in all JDSs since 2001.

Researchers of the IBISS, together with colleagues from Faculty of Biology University of Belgrade, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology University of Niš, Faculty of Science, Institute of Biology University of Kragujevac, Institute for Public Health of Serbia "Dr Milan Jovanović Batut" and Serbian Environmental Protection Agency participate in realization of several complex research tasks.

Further information about the participation of Serbia's Institute for Biological Research in JDS4 can be found here.

Serbian television also covered the event, with a report on National Television on the subject. Check it out via YouTube here (in Serbian):
